About The Role
Purpose is to provide oversight on day-to-day safety aspects of clinical studies / post marketing surveillance projects. Responsible for line managing and guiding team of Pharmacovigilance to achieve performance goal. Ensure coaching, high quality service delivery within timeline. Develops and implements best-in-class policies, procedures, practices within safety management.
Responsibilities
- Manage staff per org policies & regulations: planning, assigning, directing work; managing performance, guiding professional development; rewarding/disciplining; employee relations; coach & mentor subordinates
- Selection and onboarding: candidate review, interviewing, onboarding training with HR & L&D
- Ensure staff have materials, systems access, training; oversight of training plan, SOP review, mentored training
- Ensure compliance with Novotech SOPs, ICH GCP Guidelines and regulatory requirements; understand company policies
- Identify and assign qualified staff for project team based on requirements and development
- Manage and review workload & quality, corrective action plans to prevent/correct deficiencies
- Evaluate current processes, assess alignment of safety implementation & compliance with regulatory expectations
- Support preparation for regulatory inspections and audits
- Appraise proposals and budgets, pricing tool and financials for continual success of PV business
- Ensure PV projects managed in line with budgets, scope, agreed timelines to achieve client satisfaction
- Manage resource planning, hiring and terminations, regular performance review
- Ensure client services and commercial & operational deliverables achieved
- Lead or collaborate with management to manage & resolve study issues, external communication for issue resolution & customer satisfaction
- Set clear team goals, annual appraisals, promotion requests, maintain promotion & succession plan
- Support marketing activities
Candidate Profile
- Expertise in implementation of Asia Pacific / Global PV requirements and experience in global safety regulations (ICH GCP, E2B R3) pertaining to clinical trials / post marketing surveillance
- Familiarity with PV Safety databases, Microsoft Office, MedDRA and WHO-DD coding
- Sound knowledge and experience in PV clinical trial / post marketing surveillance projects
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication
- Ability to manage multiple varied tasks, prioritize, attention to detail, fast-paced environment
- Effective Finance understanding to plan, implement, evaluate PV budgets & contracts
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and influence others to create positive working environment
