The University of Jammu and Kashmir was founded in the year 1948. In the year 1969 it was bifurcated into two full-fledged Universities: University of Kashmir at Srinagar and University of Jammu at Jammu. The University of Kashmir is situated at Hazratbal in Srinagar. It is flanked by the world famous Dal Lake on its eastern side and Nigeen Lake on the western side. The Main Campus of the University spread over 247 acres of land is divided into three parts – Hazratbal Campus, Naseem Bagh Campus and Mirza Bagh Campus (serving residential purpose). Additional land has been acquired at Zakura near the main campus for further expansion of the University. The tranquil ambience of the Campus provides the right kind of atmosphere for serious study and research.

The Department of Biotechnology, University of Kashmir eligible candidates for a walk-in interview for project associate-I (01) funded by Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India, for the project entitled Targeting unfolded protein response transducers in hepatic fibrogenesis”.
Essential qualification : Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc /B.Pharm or Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable : Postgraduate Degree in Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Clinical Biochemistry or Microbiology having expertise in tissue culture, secretory protein analysis and genome editing.
Monthly emoluments (Rs.) : 37,000/- + 20% HRA .
Requirement for mentioned monthly emoluments National Eligibility Tests: CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE
Duration : Initially for a period of one (01) year extendable based on performance and subject to the availability of funds.
The candidates should bring original certificates and other documents indication qualification, age, percentage of marks and certificate of qualified NET and/or similar accredited tests and proof research experience (copy of project) in the relevant field (if any) on the day of the interview. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview.
